Enjoy a relaxing view of the river while enjoying your picnic lunch on the tables that are available in the park plus first-come, first-serve basis grills.

A great way to experience  Riverbend Park is by kayaking along the peaceful waters of the Potomac River and enjoying the scenic view along the banks.

3. Freshwater Fishing

Learn how to rig and use a fishing rod as well as the safety and importance of catch-and-release fishing all while having fun. Gain knowledge and experience of freshwater fishing using a variety of tackle. Fun for the whole family!

4. Hike Riverbend Park to Great Falls Park

Relax and enjoy the view of some beautiful sycamores and oaks stretching overhead or leaning out over the water. Watch for songbirds, ducks, herons, and an occasional eagle. The best trail for relaxation.

5. Horseback Riding

A perfect place to go horseback riding with ten miles of multi-use trails open for riding plus an amazing view! Although the trail rides are not offered by the park it is a great chance for visitors who would like to ride and can bring their horses!

6. Bird Watching

Remember to bring your binoculars and bird guides! Depending on the season and the time of day, you have a chance of viewing some of the 163 species of birds that can be found here. River Bend is the perfect location for birding.
